For those without an insta account:

nhsengland: 'When the nurse brought the needle got scared. I did not want to let them do it then. The nurses were very kind and talked to me, they took their time and did not get cross or try to rush me. We watched YouTube and sang a song from my favourite show - Hamilton.
My mum and the nurses talked to me and gave me some time to think. I did some breathing exercises to try to stop me being scared. Then suddenly I decided okay, do it now!
I lifted up the arm of my T-Shirt, held the nurse's hand and surprised my mum!
Everyone clapped and cheered, even people in the corridor! I felt so proud. My mum was very proud. All my family and friends were proud of me.
Mum and I feel safer now. I told my friends, don't be scared. It doesn't hurt well a little bit of a pinch, that's all.'
Emma has a learning disability and a fear of needles. Initially, Emma didn't want to have the COVID vaccine but after her mum had hers at North Park Health Centre in Bootle, Liverpool, she decided to say yes.
From being greeted by the Practice Manager at the door, to the doctor explaining the vaccine and the nurses supporting her throughout, Emma was able to feel confident and get the #NHSCOVIDVaccine. Thank you Emma for sharing your vaccine experience and thank you to #OurNHSPeople for making adjustments to help Emma feel safe. If you're eligible find out how you can get the vaccine. Visit @nhswebsite or search 'NHS COVID vaccine'. #ThankYouNHS

Sorry if there are mistakes, I used a text grab feature on my phone. I double checked to make sure it was okay, but if anyone sees a mistake let me know and I'll fix it!

He describes the importance of a friendly greeting, a specialist location with some quiet areas, and clear information.

Here's a short video for people with LD about what vaccinations are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3Wh23PDnfE

NHS England + Improvement have a video for GPs about vaccination for people with severe mental illness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OusrDVmUDZg

I'm submitting these because, for a variety of reasons, people with learning disability have been hard hit by covid.

It shows up for me. Still haven’t seen anything that tops Pinterest.

Weird, it's the exact opposite for me. Like Jedi, I can see this Instagram post (and most others) just fine without any account... but Pinterest hides most/all of its content from me behind a "Log in to see more" nag screen. WTF?
