For those who are also wondering what 'Sludge' videos are meant to be, this is from the article:
“Sludge content” is a type of viral video that features multiple clips playing simultaneously on a screen.
E.g. a cooking video, a gaming video etc. playing on the screen together. I recommend you read the article to find out why on earth someone would do this, as it beats me..

Will this hold up in the long run? probably not. People will get bored and something new will pop up. Will it be just as stupid and chaotic? Yeah. It always is. This isn't anything new. I distinctly remember flash animations with lots of effects, shouting and just so many things happening. The only difference about this is that it's getting simpler in the production so they can churn out as many of these videos as possible.

Huh, Back to the Future II got it right on this one. Off by only a few years, too!
Maybe I don't remember the movie that well, but could you explain which part of Back to the Future 2 resembles this?
Oh, this bit
Oh I'd forgotten that scene. Thanks!
Love it, this was my first thought too!
