    I think this is related to this article. Check the image in that article. I don't know the first thing about amyloid-β proteins but I know my digital image artifacts and it seems striking (these are scientists criticizing scientists using science, this is not a reddit armchair-investigation).

    One thing this article, oddly, completely skips over, is the timeline of the investigation ... no dates anywhere.
