Cool analysis. Reinforces my opinion that—even though they're at opposite ends of the political spectrum—Bernie and Trump are actually very similar in the nature of their appeal to people.

I mean they are in the sense that they both can bring people to specific emotions fairly easily. That's charisma. Hillary, no matter how good a politician she is, has zero charisma and the moment...

Hillary, no matter how good a politician she is, has zero charisma and the moment Sanders was dropped from the ticket in 2016 was the moment the Democratic party signed their loss. He was electable, she was not.
I didn't expect Sanders to be on the 2020 ticket mostly due to his age, so I placed an early bet on Warren in 2016 for the 2020 elections. It doesn't look like it'll materialize if Sanders keeps up his momentum, but in terms of appeal, Sanders and Warren are extremely similar.
People place them in the same bucket due to their policies which imo is incorrect. Warren is a European centrist (not the moronic US definition), with some specific radical policies mostly centered around wealth redistribution. Sanders is a European socialist, with fairly standard ideas (again, not in US terms since that country is so... Backwards), but pushed to their extreme. UHC for example is standard in a lot of countries but his plan is extremely generous, and would be controversial in Europe due to how generous it is.
Anyway I think the way they connect with voters, Warren and Sanders are far more alike. Trump and Sanders both have the ability to get a rise out of people though which is extremely important to win. Obama had that same charisma.
It looks like US politics is pressuring to produce more and more charismatic people for the presidency, with some serious darwinian effects exaggerating the need for it more and more every cycle.
He also made a video on how Trump answers a question 4 years ago.
They're both must-watch. I recommend watching the trump one first.
