Weekly thread for casual chat and photos of pets

No photos because she needs to go to the groomer bad, but our dog Zoey has finally made the connection between thirst and water!

I'm not joking. We've had her for three years, and for most of that time we've half-joked, half-wondered if she understood that water helps with thirst. This dog would run like wild outside in summer chasing her Frisbee, come inside panting like a steam train, and just look at you in confusion when you led her to her water bowl. A couple years ago when I was the only human at home for like two days, I didn't need to refill her water because it was still nearly full. Just a few weeks ago I was praising her for drinking water, that's how rarely she'd drink.

Well, now we're sure she didn't make the connection before, because she's now drinking water regularly! Just now while writing this, she paused her barking at the garage door to go get a drink. I'm so proud of this floofy idiot.
