Through the years though Im glad she was open about sexual topics because it flexes a freedom I think people who wish to express SHOULD be able to express. For that and for whatever good she made in peoples lives I wish her and her loved ones well.

Her shows were probably a little before my time, having been born in the early 90s, but she has a solid record of candor and progressive messaging and education. Being willing to publicly speak about safety surrounding AIDS in the 80s is also a fairly big deal.
I liked her. She brought a sense of humor and fun to a topic people still have great difficulty opening up about. RIP Dr. Ruth, your work made the world a more humane place.

She was very popular in the 80s and 90s. I saw a lot of her stuff. Ninety six is a ripe old age. Good for her.
There's a documentary about her that I watched a few years back. I recall it being pretty good
