Normally I would probably have "called you out" for making a bit of a "low effort" comment but goddamn... in this case that response is 100% appropriate. I honestly thought my browser was broken...

I honestly thought my browser was broken for a second there. And I still don't know what exactly I just read/experienced scrolling through all that, but it kind of reminded me of the classic Time Cube site.

I don't think there is a more appropriate response. That caught me entirely off guard, it was great.

Haha yeah, and it probably helps that it’s on an actual football news website. It’s a pretty great introduction :)

Wow..... I have no interest in football at all yet by the time it had anything to do with football I was so engrossed that I just had to continue. That was absolutely amazing.

Glad you enjoyed! I also have no interest in football, but you don’t really need to know anything about it to enjoy this, it’s all weird future football.

What is this, and what does it have to do with books?

This is a web comic (there have been posts about comic books here before, so I think this is fine in ~books), and one of my favourites. The introduction is fantastic (the fake article, and the calendar), and I love the format: mostly chat logs between characters, with some images, GIFs, and videos with a very distinctive visual style.

Don't worry too much about the football part - you don't need to know anything about it (like me!). What I like about this web comic is that it hits a perfect spot between comedic and philosophical. I remember the intro (the calendar) was really intriguing to me, and is an excellent hook. It's also well written, I like the characters (Juice <3) and worldbuilding, all this within an interesting story. I think this is one of the most creative works of modern (interactive/multimedia) fiction I've read, it only takes a few hours to read, I highly recommend it!

But, you insist there's something readable here, so I searched around and found more pages. And ohmyfuckinggodwhatisthisawfulcrapandwhyisitonmycomputerscreen? Yeah.. nah. There's no way I could stand being subjected to a few hours of this ugly and offensive web design. And the occasional, but offensively formatted, text is hard to follow and definitely not engaging at all.

However, I still don't see how this relates to books. If you want to post random web comics, wouldn't ~misc be a better place for them?
