People don't like boring movies made by assholes, I guess. I can't say I'm surprised.

I actually, reluctantly, liked these movies and it took a lot of mental gymnastics to go see them. Frankly, now I'm just going to see Ezra Miller and Mads Mikkelson replacing a somewhat disgraced Johnny Depp. It's enough to suck any fun out of it, and there was even the "Rowling profits from this..." thought when I found out about her TERF activism and watched the second.

I don't know how to talk about enjoying the series in a way that doesn't make me sound tacitly supportive of Rowling's TERF stuff, but it was the first domino to fall, and this series, which should have in no way resembled a house of cards, is falling apart like one. I feel it is by chance because what are the odds of a single production having an actor going on drunken rampages, an actor facing abuse allegations, and an author espousing an ideology the actors would rather disassociate with? It's like lightning struck.

‘The Flash’ star Ezra Miller arrested for allegedly throwing chair at woman’s head

Ezra Miller, known for playing “The Flash,” was arrested early Tuesday in Hawaii after allegedly throwing a chair at a woman and leaving her with a gash to her forehead.

It’s the latest in a string of negative headlines involving the star.

And it came on the same day that Miller appeared via Zoom in a Hilo courtroom to plead no contest to a disorderly conduct charge, which stemmed from an incident at a karaoke bar last month.

In the assault case, Hawaii Island police said Miller was taken into custody about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday for second-degree assault. Police said Miller allegedly “became irate” when asked to leave an acquaintance’s home and threw a chair at a woman.

The 26-year-old victim reported a half-inch cut to her forehead.

That was why I mentioned I was just going to see Ezra Miller and Johnny Depp's replacement. Basically a violent actor and a replacement, rather than a whole movie. I could've phrased it better.
