There was actually a pretty good turnout at my local theater. Almost every screen was showing Avatar 2 and the room I was in had a few dozen people in it - not bad for super late on a Sunday.

Saw it yesterday and there were 4 other people watching it, then 5 people came in like an hour late. So, I don't know about the $2 Billion target...
