The live-action movies are their own special kind of excellent, but this feels like cinema embracing a style that is purpose built for a comic book adaptation. Which is one of the reasons I think Spiderverse worked so well.
Your comment made me look more into the movie and now I have to go see this. The credentials of Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears is a laundry list of awesome shows. For me what Into the Spidervwrse did...

For me what Into the Spidervwrse did well was be a strong standalone and enjoyable movie. I didn't need to know anything past the basics of who spiderman is to enjoy it. The style really complemented it.
Thanks for getting me excited! I love me some TMNT Turtle Power!
I love how TMNT lost the main point of their existence eons ago, but yet still remain relevant and easily adapted for the following generations. It's a fun property that still keeps having fun....

As a producer he has actually been behind some banging stuff over the last few years. The Boys, Preacher, and Invincible being amongst my personal favorites.

As a fellow Canadian stoner nerd, who loves stoner comedies/comedians/nerds and thinks Seth Rogan is a pretty swell dude, I am deeply offended that you can't stand him! ;)

I'm not a TMNT fan, but this looks really cool. I felt like 3d animation was getting a little stale before Spiderverse came out, so I'm glad to see more studios taking inspiration from those types...

I hear ya. It is typically safe if he is not actually in it. I just can't stand him on principal at this point.
