He's done Weapons, Barbarian, and I am very excited for this movie as well.
There seems to be a real intention to characters, they feel alive in their worlds. And as any horror fan knows, comedy and horror coexist very naturally and Zach knows this.
Weapons had a pretty big build up and barbarians is well known. I've heard meh things about both (good start, falls off). Still this looks like it understands what makes RE interesting better than...

Would mildly disagree about Barbarian, strongly disagree about Weapons! Both are similarly structured into segments focusing on different characters, I think it's fair to consider the last segment...

Both are similarly structured into segments focusing on different characters, I think it's fair to consider the last segment of Barbarian the weakest in the film but I think it's still pretty enjoyable, but the final segment of Weapons makes the movie! An incredibly satisfying finish to an already great movie.

Well to be fair I've only seen Barbarian and was underwhelmed, so skipped on weapons. I'll probably give it a shot one of these days.
