This is one film I will only recommend with some serious hedging. I think the idea is brilliant and have watched it a number of times myself. With that being said, I find some of the writing and acting absolutely atrocious.
It's been a long time since I saw that one, so I don't remember all the details; but I do remember it being an interesting philosophical thought experiment. I'm going to have to watch it again.

I remember watching this movie with my dad when I was younger. He hyped it up so much, but I thought it was pretty good. I should rewatch it again to better understand the philosophical ideas, and really have a better understanding of writing and acting. One thing that really stood out to me as a kid was there were only a couple backgrounds, which was pretty impressive. Props to the writers for making it work
Watched it today, I found it worth sharing. Although it's not for everyone.
dig up the sequel, I've been waiting to get into the right mindset to watch it. the first was one you really need to sit and focus on

Agreed, the ending felt really tacked on like they had no idea how to bring the show to a conclusion as well.
Well considering the topic of the movie, any climax would not satisfy the viewers entirely.
