I watched Sightseers which was funny and shocking in a low key British indie movie kind of way. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2023690/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 I really enjoy watching Steve Oram, and he does this kind of character really well.
See you yesterday is good of its kind, but there are so many of these backyard time-travel movies.
I also watched Instant Family which made me angry, and I'm not sure why but there's something really awful in there about attitudes to drug-using parents, and I found it really hard to cope with the US system - I really hope it isn't much like how it gets depicted. It's mildly funny, but it misses its mark too much.
I am going to see Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind for the first time in theaters tonight. I am fortunate enough to live around enough theaters that do the Studio Ghibli fest as the movies are...

I've watched Mandy the other day. It's a psychedelic horror movie by the guy that did Beyond the Dark Rainbow. It wasn't very good, the psychedelic/moody parts were fantastic but the horror ones,...

Watched Suspiria the other day. It was absolutely fantastic. I really don't understand all the hate it got though, but I guess it was a pretty divisive film

Yesterday watched Nuts (1987) when I got home from work. Barbra Streisand stars as a high class prostitute (really!) accused of manslaughter. Richard Dreyfuss costars as her lawyer. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and as it progressed I felt more and more sorry for Richard Dreyfuss. The worst part by far is when Streisand describes the sexual services she offers clients. Super cringe.
But after that I saw Wall Street (also 1987), which turned out to be a great movie so it all evened out.
Saw it Friday and probably will go back in a few weeks to see it again A few thoughts: Pretty much non-stop action from beginning to end Not a ton of plot, more world building than anything Very...

Pretty much non-stop action from beginning to end
Not a ton of plot, more world building than anything
Very strong first half, tails off in the second half. Very much a "chapter" in the overall story, and less a standalone story itself
I suspect it would be most enjoyable if you watch 1 and 2 before going to see 3 as they very much are one story, though that is not what I did
I would recommend seeing it in the newest theater available to you if only for the cinematography and sound design
Overall, definitely a enjoyable action flick. If you like the first two you'll likely enjoy this one. Looking forward to what they have in store for the future.
one of my friends went to see it and thought it was pretty good, although somewhat suffering from sequelitis and not as good as the first two. pretty similar to john wick 2, apparently.

I really enjoyed it, thought it was the best out of the three. The action really goes further than before. In my opinion it is the most interesting action movie I have seen in a long time....

The story is pretty coherent, obviously its not complex and you have a good time. It stretches reality a bit, but I don't think you go to this movie for realism.
Also lemme emphasize for action sequences in a movie. TV goes to Daredevil season 1, everyone knows what scene I am talking about.

Read the manga if you like it, it's better than the movie.

I agree, but there could be a whole 'universe' thing going on as well. There is at least one character here who could have their own movie.
