MGM has had money problems for years and years now, maybe even decades. This is why they teamed up with Annapurna for distributing films.
I don’t exactly know how I feel about this, at the very least it’s not Disney or AT&T buying it this time. But, all of these mergers are so incredibly depressing. Seeing these movie studios be on the verge of death and being bought out by some giant tech company is just... it’s not a direction I’m a fan of.
