I'm scratching my head a bit at the choice of Dos Oruguitas as the song representing Encanto in that Best Original Song category. I don't think it was anywhere near the best song in that movie. I thought the same thing about the song that was chosen for Moana when it was nominated for the Oscars. I wonder what the criteria is for categories like that.

The criteria is that studios have to submit songs. And Disney submitted this one for Encanto. Quite a bit before the movie was even released. They’re not campaigning any of the other songs in the soundtrack so popular choices like Surface Pressure and We Don’t Talk About Bruno are being ignored by award bodies. Though to be fair Disney didn’t know they would become popular so that’s why they went with the more emotional song.

Disney started doing this relatively recently. They used to campaign multiple songs from their animated films (even Enchanted got three Original Song nominations).

That's ok. He doesn't want to be called an actor anymore, so it would just be awkward.
