I have to admit that I'm something of a part-time fan of Andrew Huang. I love the way he is constantly looking for new sounds but I don't actually like the style of music he produces often times, though I do appreciate the effort and ingenuity he puts into it.
He used to run a website called Songs to Wear Pants To where people would write in requests for songs, often outright ridiculous ones, and he would turn them into music. It was almost entirely novelty songs, so their appeal was short-lived, but I was blown away by the versatility of his musical ability, as well as his prolific output (around the time I stopped following the site I think he'd put up over 300 tracks, and this was way back in the 00s).
You can still find some of the songs up on streaming/YouTube (and some of the songs are legitimately fun on their own), but the site itself is gone, and a lot of the tracks aren't nearly as interesting when they're not paired with the text of the request. Most of the fun was seeing how he would take what someone was asking and, often brilliantly or cheekily, turn it into a final product.
Tha was surprisingly fun and very good listens tbh ... which is impressive in itself! Nice find OP!
