Weekly US politics news and updates thread - week of May 27
This thread is posted weekly - please try to post all relevant US political content in here, such as news, updates, opinion articles, etc. Extremely significant events may warrant a separate topic, but almost all should be posted in here.
This is an inherently political thread; please try to avoid antagonistic arguments and bickering matches. Comment threads that devolve into unproductive arguments may be removed so that the overall topic is able to continue.

This might be deserving of its separate topic post.

The Donald Trump I saw on The Apprentice, an op-ed by Bill Pruitt, one of the original producers on the first two seasons of the show.
I never watched the apprentice. However I read an illuminating book called Plaintiff in Chief about Trump's thousands of lawsuits.
We needed attack ads in 2016 and I never saw them. No one publicized the many people he put out of business unfairly by not paying bills.
