I just noticed how much anxiety black people give me. I'm not racist but I live in a country where pretty much everyone is white and whenever I see a black person I look at them for a split second like I would look at any other person but then I realize they are black and my anxiety kicks in. I start to wonder if they think I'm racist for looking at them for too long, so then next time I see them I try not to look at them for too long which makes me anxious about them thinking that I'm racist and I don't want to look at them because I turned my head around too quickly...
Yes, but I don't think my anexity is strong enough. I do everything a person who doesn't have anexity does it's just that I get a annoing feeling in some social situations

Eh, it sounds like you're reacting the same way you would to any unusual looking person. I'm sure they're used to it if they live in a country that's predominantly white.

My day has been good, I've been watching a robin's nest that was built outside my door. I've seen the parents taking care of the nest and feeding 3-4 babies. It's been very nice.

I put up a nest box for Bluebirds last year, and used an app from Cornell University to update the progress regularly. It's called nestwatch if I remember correctly. I have a new phone and haven't downloaded it again. This spring I put the nest box up again, and once again I had a family move in. They built a nest, raised some babies, then they took off. I saw a stupid House Sparrow move in and make a mess, so I cleaned up the box and before too long had the Bluebirds making a nest once again.
They have already laid more eggs which have hatched and it won't be too much longer before they fledge. I don't think they have time to lay another clutch before they start their trek south, but then again they might be able to pull it off. I like to think it's the same family returning each year, or their offspring, but there is no way for me to know for certain. They are interesting to watch.

This just made me a little nostalgic. I've always lived in rural areas in homes adjacent to wooded areas. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds singing and a perfect ray of sunshine was always so refreshing. I now live in the city and have almost forgotten the sounds they make.
It's always something when you find something you didn't realize that you missed.

I'm feeling another streak of depression coming in. Should last a few days. I think I've prepared well with good friends, new semester beginning, a new place to stay, but somehow I'm anxious it won't be enough.
I will manage it, but I just wanted to get this out there.
Other than that, I really really should get ahead of the coursework, or it can get very interesting by the end of semester. Going in with few personal projects on the side is never easy on time.
Hope you get though your depression. I'd offer you to dm me if you want to talk but since it seems that you have friends to talk to I'm not gonna do that(you can pm me anyways ;))... Seems like...

I just got out of bed, so not much has happened, but it's already clearly one of those days where I'm going to have difficulty concentrating. Additionally, lately I've been somewhat burdened by a lack of closure with people who I thought were friends but suddenly started ghosting me (individuals, not a group). Needless to say, it's just one of those days that's going to be a bit off.
I know that feeling. Just keep in mind that maybe all that's going on is they've hit a rough spot and need to hunker down for a little while, no harm no foul. Just be there should they come back!

After two months of learning Python, this is the second script I created that has trimmed down some work for my coworkers. Unfortunately, in getting the impression from management that they don't care as much as I do.
Even if the coworkers don't care much, you are still self-improving. There is no better way to get a hang of a language than to build something functional with it.

Building is super easy, it can be intimidating though. If you shop sales throughout the year you can build a very powerful computer for very little cash. I know that in recent weeks companies have been slashing prices on the first gen Ryzen processors/motherboards since they have released the next generation. If RAM prices will come back down then all will be right in the world once again!
I'll have to keep an eye out for an upgrade for the graphics card, if I ever get brave enough I'll also keep this in mind. Buy things over the year to help ease the wallet pain lol

I have used my original Kindle touch for years, and got a new Paperwhite for Christmas. My only complaint is that sometimes it forgets my progress in books. I think I have narrowed it down to loading books with Calibre and just unplugging the Kindle rather than ejecting it. Since I have started making sure to eject it before disconnecting the USB then it has worked perfectly. I do enjoy being able to read in the dark without disturbing anyone!
Rule of thirds. Start there. Then just be mindful of your background. After you are comfy with that start looking for leading lines, maybe some framing, play with perspective, and things of that...

The keyword you need to explore is "composition". It's normal to be overwhelmed at first: people have been studying and debating this probably since before the ancient Greek.
How do you know how to position the images and whatever?

I just noticed how much anxiety black people give me. I'm not racist but I live in a country where pretty much everyone is white and whenever I see a black person I look at them for a split second like I would look at any other person but then I realize they are black and my anxiety kicks in. As long as you aren't staring, giving them shit for being black, or calling the police on them for no good reason, you're probably fine.
I know but it still gives me anexity
I know, and I sympathize. Have you considered talking to a psychologist?
Yes, but I don't think my anexity is strong enough. I do everything a person who doesn't have anexity does it's just that I get a annoing feeling in some social situations
So, you manage to keep it together? Great. Go see somebody anyway. Everybody's OK until suddenly they're not.
I'll think about it then. Thanks for advice
Unless you're actually a racist and have a problem with people looking different I'm like 99% sure they don't care
I know but it still gives me anexity
Eh, it sounds like you're reacting the same way you would to any unusual looking person. I'm sure they're used to it if they live in a country that's predominantly white.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I heard an owl hoot last night :D
I heard two tuis doing a rounder at dawn today. One would start a six note refrain and then the other would. Over and over, like church bells. (NZ)
This is just so lovely <3
This is the most fitting comment in this thread. It's just so casual

Hey thanks man. My friends know it can get bad, but i try not to ruin their day, rather let them brighten mine, as did you.
Cheers.

Decided to chat up the cute barista a bit during my morning coffee run. Got a date set up with her. So I'd say it's going pretty good so far.
nice work!

I recently got my first PC too. Are you building it yourself or are you buying a prebuilt? Anyways post a link
I thought about going the building route, then went the easy way out.
hopefully this works being an Australian site
did you build it or buy as well?
