What does your ideal Friday night look like?

Hanging alone? Spending time with friends? Loved ones? Going out dancing? Drinks? Sitting down with a good book? Playing games online with friends? Going hiking? Cooking? Gardening?

Also, how often do you get to spend your Friday nights in the manner you most enjoy?

Definitely alone. 10pm at night with a bowl of chips, a non-alcholic beer or two, and a good game, movie, YouTube series, or new Linux distro or project is heaven to me. I get to do this pretty frequently as I go out of my way to do any work or appointments on a day other than Friday, and I don't have many friends nor would be most people's pick to go to a party anyway.

I’ve tried a few suntory and Sapporo options, but not super wowed. They were also quite expensive at around $2.50 USD each.

I've only tried one brand so far, Clausthaler (a German brand)- there's very little variety where I live unfortunately. Depending on your stomach issues, it may not help much, it's designed to emulate a traditional beer down to the yeastiness. For what it's worth, I have stomach issues myself and can drink it just fine, although I haven't had problems with traditional beer either so we might be in different categories.

My wife and I just had a baby. Tonight is my night to watch and feed her for the late shift. We've been trading off the duty every night since she was born. This way we both get REM at least every other night. So far this has kept us sane if not fairly tired.

Thankfully, from experience this should only last a few more months. Sleep... you're coming someday!

(Not that I'm making fun of it, but I just think it is very interesting.)

As for myself: Depends on what kind of a mood I am in. Sometimes dancing, or going out with friends, hanging out with friends, etc. But on some Fridays I just don't want to interact with anyone anymore lol

My ideal Friday would probably consist of hanging out with friends and then going home with enough time to zone out and read/play guitar for 3 hours or so before going to bed.

Yup. I should have probably made the question something like "What does your ideal night off look like?" or "What's your preferred way to end your work week?" to be inclusive of different schedules. I believe you've got title editing permissions, so feel free to improve it. I tried to change it myself but can only edit the text of the submission.

What are some of your group's favorite boardgames?
