Not so much me, but my husband does a lot of baking and decided this weekend to make a skillet pizza from scratch. He started the dough on Friday and let it sit through until Sunday (for better taste and texture). Sunday was, according to US date conventions, 3/14 and so, well, this is what he made. What you can't see in the picture are the onions bringing their delicious oniony flavor to the pizza (he sweated them a bit in butter before putting them in too!).

It was devastatingly delicious. And the edges of the pizza crisped up really nicely for some quality crunch.

We also did some milkshakes using grasshopper ice cream and thin mint cookies. Neither of these we made from scratch, but they were still fantastic.

Oh, yum! That looks absolutely delicious, and a great way to celebrate Pi day. Do you have a dough recipe?

The recipe is the King Arthur Crispy Cheesy Pan Pizza recipe. The only tweaks he makes are that he adds some pizza seasoning mix to the dough (it's one of those prepared spice blends), and he said he bakes the dough with no toppings for 10 minutes, then adds toppings and bakes for another 10, then finally broils it for 2 minutes. Bakes go on the bottom rack, and broil on the top rack.

He also said that the recipe calls for making the dough 24 hours in advance, but he's been doing it 48 hours in advance and it's come out better.

The main even for me was updating my home assistant hardware to home assistant blue. Which looks great. Unfortunately, they now support 3 separate z-wave integrations and the one I was using is considered deprecated. On-top of that the one they recommend doesn't seem to support one of my sensors which is slightly frustrating.
Otherwise, I'll be able to use the freed up raspberry pi to setup pi-hole which will be nice.

Edit: I actually fixed the unsupportd z-wave sensor issue 🎉

Otherwise my SO and I made a beef stew with biscuits on Sunday. It was very, very snowy from Saturday evening until like maybe late last night. We got around a foot and a half of snow and luckily we both work from home and didn't have to go anywhere. And in true Colorado fashion, half of it melted today.

I felt like it was an okay, semi-productive weekend, though I would have liked to gotten around to knitting some more. But that'll likely be what I focus on this week.

Nothing serious. I took the weekend off of school, no homework. I planned some fitness stuff, read Al Kavadlo's "Pushing the Limits!" to get an idea of where to start. It's a short book about pushups, squats, and bridges as key exercises for totally equipment-less calisthenics, just using the floor below you. It's not intended to be everything you do, but is enough for beginners (me). I also mapped out my fasting regimen to visualize it properly, and clearly define which days I'm not (Mon/Wed/Fri), instead of this fly-by-night stuff I've been doing where I aim for any three non-consecutive days a week. Really, I'm just aiming for consistency.

I also finally got Tidalcycles (a music programming environment in Haskell) working in my Debian WSL environment (it's WSL1), piping data to my Windows install of SuperCollider. It all works better in Linux, but I just had to do it.
