PreCog reading is a method of facilitating the reading process by guiding the eyes through text with artificial fixation points.

I searched it up and it's also apparently called/marketed as "bionic reading". This is my first time seeing this. It seems similar to something like OpenDyslexic as an accessibility feature.

Anyone here have any experiences with this?

I tried it and didn't care for it. The bolding made everything feel like it was coming at me in a weirdly staccato cadence, like someone doing an extreme Christopher Walken impression.

Maybe it would work better with font libraries that are custom designed for it where the weighting is more subtle and variant.

It feels like I can read that stuff at like twice the speed (especially this example works great for me).

Looks like there are a few. The first one has a Github repository. I haven't used any of them because I'm wary of installing unvetted extensions, but if you try one out let us know how it goes!
