    Kind of disappointing there's no detail whatsoever on why this is happening. Also the only other payment option is sigh credit card.

      assuming that a lot of people use a credit card through PayPal, isn't it better that they can use it directly with GitHub and cut out one of the many middle-men?

        PayPal links directly to your bank account. They support credit cards as well, but using this often incurs an additional fee for the buyer. At least, this was the case last time I tried to use a...

        What I'm most frustrated by is that there will now be no other way at all other than credit card.

          I forgot PayPal gives you the option to connect directly to a bank account, which is another good option to avoid credit cards, but I just don't trust PayPal in general after a few bad incidents.

      In the early/startup phase, you should keep all the funding options open. It's not "either or", you don't have to switch. Having multiple funding options like Paypal, Patreon and GH Sponsorship...
