Got a 2010 MacBook Pro lying around at home

Any ideas on how to repurpose it for a fun/ hobby tech project?

    You could try out some Linux distros on it! They've always been such great laptops, it's a shame they get dropped by new Mac OS versions fairly quickly.

    Nice! I had a 2011 mac mini and a 2011 MBP myself, I turned the first one into a media server using plex, and I put Windows on the other one to turn it into a small video game server (Conan Exiles) for me and my friends to play on.

    I helped a friend of mine take his apart. He made a huge wooden frame to hang on his wall, and we mounted all of the individual components. I will see if I can get a picture of it from him, but...
