      Thanks for the quick link. Real tired of this "opt in take your data retroactively" deal everyone's doing. Maybe that's the next thing the FTC goes after.

      Just have to remember to turn it off when (if?) it comes to the EU, would have been nice to opt out in advance.

        Thanks to GDPR this is one of the things that you have to explicitly opt in. If they where to automatically start collecting your data, they would be presented with some serious fines (up to 2% of annual revenue; not profit, revenue). And I'm sure there are enough IT and/or law professionals on LinkedIn watching like hawks for any such misstep, itching to immediately report it.
