As neither, I don't honestly know, but lobste.rs has always been far closer to hackernews content-wise, so I don't know that it comes up as much in a way I would have noticed.

There’s a good amount of overlap between ~tech/~comp users and lobsters users. The recent battlestations threads here and thereare a good visual highlight. After a quick review, I don’t think there’s actually any overlap in those threads. I was mistaken. Desks just kinda look the same. There still exists an overlap of users though.
Sorry to the battlestationeers for putting y’all on blast. Your desks are very nice.

As a UK based lobster, I think that if enough sites geoblock the UK there will be a reaction against this unenforceable law. Go ahead, geoblock the UK and I hope more sites do it as well. Unless people start shouting, nothing will change.
Seems like a good idea. For sure keep protesting. After all in the US, SOPA/PIPA was stopped that way. But sometimes taking away things is a faster vehicle for change than protest (e.g. codification of reproductive rights in the US, at least in some states).
When Ofcom's rules come into play on 16th March then will a geoblock for the UK also be applied to Tildes?

It's the same on Tildes!
How's the vibe in regards to being a woman/being queer?

Aww, somehow I missed the battlestation thread here, while I actually just posted over there.

Huh. Indeed you are correct. I'll make an edit.
So many bills
