I suspect most lenticular printing techniques probably can't support a 5-lens photo series like this anyways... since all the other lenticular cameras on the market only have 2, 3 or 4 lenses.

That wouldn't be a big problem, though, would it? because one could have simply rejected one of the photos it took.

No, it wouldn't be a problem, but it would be kind of a waste since the same could be achieved with a much much cheaper camera using much much cheaper film.

Saw the name and immediately thought this was going to be some Frankenstein's monster of modded 3DSes. It's still cool but I'm somehow a little disappointed.

Reminds me a lot of old stereographs from the late 1800s, but those had a huge element of novelty to them (3D effect in the 1800s!) which is not the case any more.

Most lenticular prints tend to be small things, usually things small enough to hold, and those are going to be perfectly fine with regular 35mm film. The fact that this uses film that's dramatically larger implies that it was meant for larger applications. Billboards perhaps? I don't think I've ever seen a lenticular billboard before but I would be more surprised if nobody else had thought to make one.

I don't think you'll see something like this for video anytime soon since lenticular displays rarely have more than two angles on them (think 3DS, with one angle for each eye). I think there was another company who was making a higher density multi-angle display that got popular a while back but I can't for the life remember who they are. In any case, they are fairly expensive and there isn't really much support behind them at the moment.
