Basically saying "fine you want to cause issues, remember all those companies we were looking the other way for"

He was pretty clear about renegotiating all trades deals with the tariffs as a negotiation stick. And when some countries were talking about countermeasures he outright said to be careful or else.
Annoyingly that has now also spread to threatening tariffs over regional legal issues which means he's trying to affect the law of another political entity. The EU cannot listen to an outside entity trying to sway law in their direction lest they lose any credibility about self governance.

Just the other day, it seemed like this fine might be paused. I'm glad they're pushing it through!
