I can't remember exactly why I decided to remove it before, but it's a very sketchy site. The FAQ is full of links to things like places to buy reddit accounts and upvotes, and various other stuff that there's really no "legitimate" use for. Even if the site itself doesn't have any ads or anything, a lot of the sites it links to are ones that will have malware-laden advertising and other dangerous things for people that don't have really locked-down browsers.
The whole thing strikes me as the type of site I would have thought was awesome when I was about 14, but not something I'd go anywhere near any more.
Honestly, that's disappointing. The internet survives on ads and I hope less and less people other than me use Adblock so I get access to more better content. It's selfish of me, but eh.

Yeah but should it? I would much rather have an alternate sustainability model, even if it involved paying for services that I use (which is an option I always pick when it's available) than have...

Btw are you single-handedly moderating the website? I figured you'd have someone else to remove spammy content or whatever. Since right now it's invite only, it'd probably be okay. But over time,...

You responded to the wrong person. ;) Currently, Deimos is the only mod. How moderation is going to work as the site grows larger has been a topic of discussion for a while. You can look at some...

hmm maybe I don't get it, but I see no point in something like this. I want my home page to have no loading time and just have the search bar. It's much to get to what I want and much less likely...

It certainly looks nice, but I'm not sure how much I like the emphasis on piracy and some of the sites they link to. I suppose it could be pretty easily customized if you downloaded it and ran it...

About 70% of the desktop internet browsing population in the US.
I'm actually astonished that the number of internet users using ad blocking is that high. It's a little reassuring if I'm being honest.

Good. uBlock's shit use uBlock Origin.
Don't use: uBlock
Instead use: uBlock Origin

The link said that 3 out of 10 desktop users are using an ad blocker, generally, not specifically uBlock.
Oh! My bad, didn't click on that link
Looks great! Thanks for posting anyways

Haha, yeah. Oops.
I can't see why this could not be just a simple local HTML page...

There's a subreddit for people making their own startpages at /r/startpages. It's a fun thing to create and can be a nice productivity boost.
