Dude built a company out of nothing and it's at a point where he says that "stepping back" now or retiring wouldn't hurt it anymore and Linus is 33. Not a lot of people can say that of themselves....

Now I think he should focus on his family and turn it down a notch. GPUs release yearly, but your kids grow up only once. Your wife grows old only once.
man, what a sweetheart. I really hope he brings in some other faces and maintains the quality. I haven't been a consistent viewer, but any time I need a review on something, he seems to have it...

He doesn't seem to be planning on retiring, but he said he feels chronically behind on doing things and posting videos and might just start hiring assistants to help.

There's a lot of glamour arround streamers, youtubers and influencers particularly from Gen Z and late Millenials, cause they only see the positive aspects of it, i.e play lots of games and make money off of it, or travel to exotic locations, make a photoshoot and advertise some shit, but they don't realize that jobs like that are often 7 days full time. It doesn't matter if you love your job, doing it for 60 hours a week is going to burn you out (I'd wager that even a real 40 hour week can do that, since very few people effectively work for 8 hours a day now).

Update: okay, he's crying now. DON'T MAKE ME CRY, LINUS. THAT WAS NOT THE DEAL!

An update from Linus on the state of his life and his thoughts on the future.
