Should we consolidate all the George Floyd protest threads into a daily megapost/thread like we did when COVID began spreading?

The main advantage of this is that updates can be organized and followed daily like on the COVID threads (which is especially useful if you don't live in the US and can't keep track of what's going on) and the main disadvantage is that unlike COVID, we have no idea if this will go on long enough or be dynamic enough to truly merit that. (Although in @dubteedub's COVID post he doesn't discount doing updates every 3 days, which we could do although that conflicts with 7-day weeks)

I'll remind everyone that if you want to see what's going on at the ground level, without all the bullshit editorializing from news reporters, maps.snapchat.com is your friend. You want to hear what people are saying, and the news isn't going to give you that. So far tonight is still bigger, more organized, and I see a lot more protesters now than rioters. Boston knows how to rock a protest, peaceful but loud in the park.

Saddest snap so far - DC, watching the black history museum get trashed by rioters. /facepalm

Yeah, agreed. And IMO a recurring daily topic would probably be best given the rapid and ongoing developments of this situation. I would certainly be willing to contribute lots to those topics,...

Yeah, agreed. And IMO a recurring daily topic would probably be best given the rapid and ongoing developments of this situation. I would certainly be willing to contribute lots to those topics, since I am thoroughly engrossed by this event and am monitoring a whole bunch of places for relevant news and video. @Deimos, thoughts?

p.s. For people looking for the latest "on-the-ground" video footage from the protests, /r/PublicFreakout/ has basically become the de facto subreddit for that. The titles there should be taken with a grain of salt, and the comments are really hit or miss (it's a cringe-based subreddit after all), so just be wary of that.

I'll set up a daily thread starting tomorrow, we can just do similar to the coronavirus thread and keep it running as long as there's still a good amount of daily activity happening in it.
