I just saw a thumbnail for one of the videos in that channel. It just kind of made me wonder how he ever thought he would ever finish the bus or electric escape projects.

Regardless, it would have been a gargantuan task to get the bus going. I would have loved to see the escape finished though, I know he was doing it as an experiment before trying the bus but the escape itself would have been neat and proper fun seeing it tear itself apart, haha
Do you have links to him getting divorced? I had no idea that happened but also can't find much about it. His wikitubia briefly mentions it but doesn't have any sources.

He mentioned it briefly in his 2022 Fleet update video. Towards the end of the video he mentions his struggles with mental health and getting a therapist. He mentioned that he got a therapist basically right before learning that his wife was having an affair and they separated. They weren't technically married but I do think he'd proposed to her.
Same, been following this guy for years now but know basically nothing about him. Last name Dunn, first name ? Of course that's how it is for most youtubers. It feels kind of creepy, or at least...

Of course that's how it is for most youtubers. It feels kind of creepy, or at least trashy, but like, I spend so much time consuming their content, I don't think it's unnatural to want to know more about them.
It's even worse with a streamer called Ryu Kahr. I've watched thousands of hours of the guy's content, and I'm sti wondering what happened between him and the rest of the Mario Maker community. And like, what's his damn first name??
Ah yes, Robert Dunn! Allegedly not an engineer, lives in the midwest somewhere, friends with the Technology Connections guy, keeps fowl. That's what I know!

I also don't recall him interacting much with other creators even in the prime of Mario Maker. I do know Thab and Panga moved in together but I think that's more of a "streamer house" than a "Mario Maker house".

And, maybe you're right, but it seems a bit weird to me that he hasn't done anything with the community since like 2020. I mean it was probably just the pandemic + the game aging + he's big enough not to need to do cons, but I feel like they all used to interact with Ryu and then it just abruptly stopped at some point. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I don't, he mentioned it kind of randomly in a video a while back and I can't find it. However I did see he had a fleet update where he basically said his motivation for the bus was just not there...

However I did see he had a fleet update where he basically said his motivation for the bus was just not there anymore, he didn't want it for it's intended purpose, so maybe I'm conflating another break or ended project.
A similar thing happened to me with this same channel few weeks back. I don't watch car stuff usually so it came out of nowhere. I've since watched quite a few of his videos. This channel really...
A similar thing happened to me with this same channel few weeks back. I don't watch car stuff usually so it came out of nowhere. I've since watched quite a few of his videos. This channel really cements how important having a watchable personality is. He's got a video of him borrowing someone's Rivian to tow strangers out of the snow, which sounds very boring, but him just having a great time helping people is surprisingly watchable.
I'd guess it came after it saw me not leaving Berm Peak videos even though I'm also not into bikes.
With how often I find videos posted to Tildes that I've already watched it sometimes feels like we're all in the same algo pool or something.
Yeah this was a purple link for me, too LOL I am a car person though, and I love this guy. My favorite of his is The Microlino is a Delightful Bubble Car for the Modern Age it's effectively just...

I love aging wheels! He has a woodworking(ish)/hobby thing channel as well if you like his style, called Under Dunn

Hey, the electric escape will be done any year now...

It’s Robert! I’ve been watching him for years as well, though I’m not sure how I picked up on that.

I'm honestly really impressed he's even got that far with the Escape project.

What's that portmanteau for getting angry at cute things again?
That hedgehog at the end got it!
