On the flip-side, I didn't really find White Lotus that compelling. I'd be happy to hear someone who liked the show help shed some light.
I think finding the characters intolerable in 'The White Lotus' was kind of the point. I enjoyed the show well enough, but it pales in comparison (no pun intended) to Succession. I can't recommend...

It'd be more understandable if ıt was conceived as a comedy heavy show from its inception, but it's always been a drama first, comedy second type show.
Another surprise for me was seeing The White Lotus in the Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series category. Not that I don't think it doesn't belong in there, it was a fantastic show and I love Mike White (watch Enlightened, please!), but it was almost exactly a year ago.

Also if you like Mike White I highly suggest watching Brad’s Status.
Ah, so they caught it right at the beginning of this year's calendar. I wonder how that will affect their chances. I'll check Brad's Status out, looks interesting. Thank you for the info and the...

I’d say it’s like number 2 in line to win. Dopesick is probably going to win but White Lotus has a good chance. Jennifer Coolidge is the front-runner for Supporting Actress in a Limited Series.

I see. I heard about Dopesick because of the praise Michael Keaton got for his performance. I should probably check that out, I believe I saw it on Disney+. Happy to hear Jennifer Coolidge is the...

Happy to hear Jennifer Coolidge is the front runner for the award. She was brilliant in The White Lotus.

I watched a few minutes of the first episode and all the characters were annoying me so I turned it off.

Dopesick is really great. Its a heavy series, but worth it.
Good to hear! If all goes well, I'm planning on watching it next week. When I do, I'll be sure to say something about it in the weekly TV thread.
