I'm hoping we get a bit more multi-doctor action than just David Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa. I liked DT as Doctor Who, but it would be nice to see Capaldi, Smith, and Whittaker all make another appearance as well (and Eccleston, but that will never happen). There were some fun cameos of classic Doctors in Whittaker's final episode, and having some more from the post-2005 batch would be lovely.
Generally, I really liked Russel T. Davies' stewardship of the show. For all his flaws, and the low production value of that era, he wrote compelling characters and relationships. Barring Bill, all of my favourite companions existed under his tenure. So the return of Catherine Tate has me particularly excited. She and DT had incredible chemistry, and I think they will absolutely smash it.
Finally, I am so here for NPH as the villain of the piece. Even in the brief flashes we see him in, I get the sense that he is having a ton of fun in the role. Cannot wait.
That's a very retro version of the 'Doctor Who' logo at the end of this video. It harks back to the 1970s. I wonder why Davies chose to do that? Oh well. It's not important. What's important is...

Oh well. It's not important. What's important is that we get David Tennant and Catherine Tate back - one of the best Doctor/Companion pairings of all time.
But, if it's the 60th anniversary, surely the specials should cover more than just that one Doctor. Tennant was one of the two best Doctors, but there's a whole 60 years (less a 15-year hiatus) of history to cover. Not just Tennant.
This looks fun. Some of the better characters from earlier seasons. Would love to see a return of Donna and David Tennant both. Is Jodie Whittaker being written out? I confess that I find Doctor...

Is Jodie Whittaker being written out? I confess that I find Doctor Who incredibly hard to follow, because important plot points seem to happen in specials between the seasons which I often miss.

She already left the show. Her final episode already aired, back in October. (It was the third of three specials released this year.)
Okay thanks, it looks like I have yet to watch those. That explains why it's been over a year since the last episode.
