Inspired by this post I went to IMDB.com to see when season 3 would start ---- not until 2025.

Would you rather they rush some unfinished crap out like everyone did after the 2007 WGA strike?
Yeah, I definitely felt like season 2 wasn't as good as season 1. In fact, it reminded me entirely too much of what I don't like about Discovery. I wish they could strike a bit more of a middle...

I wish they could strike a bit more of a middle ground between the lavish production values of the modern shows and the longer, deeper seasons of the '90s shows. 8-10 episodes per year just isn't enough to do an ensemble, episodic show justice.
I'm certainly excited for SNW's next season. I know the wait between SNW has been long each time, I agree, but at least there was a pandemic and then a significant labor dispute resulting in...

It looks like five is the magic number, presumably due to contract extensions and what have you. Shame that LD can’t go on forever, but at least it knows what’s coming and can go out on top.

Definitely more episodic, but still with some elements of an underlying season long story. I personally think it has the best combination of old Trek with new Trek.

I fully agree with this part! Big fan of the older stuff, and I enjoyed most of Discovery as well (not all tough). Strange New Worlds find the nice in between and is just enjoyable to watch.

If the time between seasons increases the quality then I'm fine with it.
Often this isn't the case though.

The wait is only long this time because of the strikes. The wait between seasons 1 and 2 was only a year.

SNW is the best ST show in a longtime
Better than Discovery etc

I watched Discovery and loved it. Is SNW episodic like previous Trek series?
