Not sure what can be done about the gaps between seasons of these very expensive, large scale productions but I really dislike not getting a new installment every year. 2 years betweens seasons is pretty much an automatic rewatch of at least the previous season. At least there's only one season.
The only time I see this hinder a show is when they use true teenagers and they grow as tall as trees between a season. I am very curious what the cast of Stranger Things will look like next season.

Personally I'd rather wait however long for a proper production. In this particular case didn't the writer's strike effect production?
Yeah I think this was one of the writers strike ones. This and Severance.
