I've watched some Dropout.tv clips on YouTube and found them delightful, so I went on to subscribe for a month. It was super worth the money: the cast is likable, the "reality tv" aspect of it being genuinely kind but edgey, and the creativity of the variety of talents on display is pleasant surprise as well.

Big fan of Dropout! I never question the cost. They're also decent people that pay their team well (and just started profit sharing!)

We've mostly watched Game Changer, which is fantastic. What other shows do you recommend?

Dimension 20 - there are a bunch of possible starting places, with more or less commitment, but it's a (mostly) D&D actual play show though they've dabbled into Kids with Bikes/Brooms and modified versions of that system too. There's also Adventuring Academy where Brennan talks to other DMs about the game.

Make Some Noise is a spinoff of Game Changer all about improv prompts. The points don't matter
Breaking News is a teleprompter "news" show where the goal is not to laugh. Some people are very bad at this, some are very very good.
Play it by Ear is an improvised musical per episode
Um Actually is a nerdy trivia show - the points matter
Monet's Slumber Party is a drag themed panel show based on a sleep over
There's a cooking show coming soon called Gastronauts I'm really excited about!
And for an older show- Paranoia, it's Werewolf/Mafia but weed themed. Two people get very high and have to hide it.

Of all those only Play it By Ear is something I'm less excited about when it comes out. I genuinely love their content.

Anyways, I can no longer recommend this series.

I've finished the 3rd episode of The Penguin and I'm ready to give up. I just don't think this is for me. I like Christin Milioti's performance, I think Farrell as the Penguin is interesting, but I despise pretty much everybody else. They feel very 2 dimensional, only there to move the story along. I'll watch 4, but unless there's a big turnaround I'm done.

I've decided to rewatch season 1 of The Old Man on Hulu. The first episode was as enjoyable now as it was 2 years ago. I'm looking forward to the refresh before I start on new episodes.

Didn't watch Only Murders this week.

I'm on the same track with Penguin too. The performances all around are good, but it doesn't have that House of Cards-level hustle / scheming to keep me in. I also skipped The Old Man and dropped Only Murders.. after the first episode of last season.

Its a tough time for new shows. Especially coming off of a LOST rewatch, it feels like these newer shows don't cover enough ground for how short their seasons are.

I also saw a little bit of How to Die Alone. It's equally funny and depressing! A rare feat.
