    Since the Babylon 5 channel seems to be still posting 3 episodes a week, I'm thinking I'm going to match the pace for the individual threads, but if we want to move for weekly threads or Season...

    He was experiencing paranoid delusions including hallucinations. As the season progressed these worsened causing issues with his colleagues and JMS offered to put production on hold while Michael got treatment. Michael declined to risk the show, and was written out - JMS promised to keep the secret "to my grave", but Michael said to keep the secret until *his* grave so that fans could know someday and so others with mental illness could potentially be helped.

    JMS also apparently supported Michael O'Hare financially through parts of his life.

    I cannot imagine Sinclair's plotline of having holes in his memory and having his mind fucked with regularly was helping.

    JMS was able to adjust his planned five year story, and while I think you can see the patches occasionally, it holds up very well.

    Sad to see O'Hare leave, I really enjoyed his performance in the first season. It always takes some time to get used to new faces, and I'm excited to see how the new commander is written...

    It always takes some time to get used to new faces, and I'm excited to see how the new commander is written differently from Sinclair.

    Also, wow! Starting off strong with some big reveals, it'll be fun to see where it all leads.

    I would like it if they went back to the one-a-week cadence for the releases, it felt a little easier to keep up with; but it's also fun to move quickly and not wait as long between episodes.

    I'm a fan of Sheridan. I definitely feel the "uhh the new guy smiles a lot, blew up a Minbari cruiser and likes oranges? Who is he" vibes. But the show isn't unaware of that and takes its time....

    Warren Keffler just like being there and being best buds with everyone is far more jarring. I'll save meta thoughts on him til later but given the situation they were working with, they did an excellent pivot here I think.
