Mr. Robot, my favourite show. Any fans already on ~ ?
The first season of this incredible show is my all time favourite season of any series so far.
Great writing, great actors, incredible cinematography and so much more.
Any fans already on ~ ?
I loved the first season, thought the second season was okay and I still haven't made it through the 3rd season yet. I don't think that the latter two seasons were worse than the first, nor was the continuation of the story really all that bad. My biggest issue is how edgy the show is. At first I thought it was just the style they were going for, very close to what Fight Club did (I know sam esmail was a huge palahniuk fan.) But as the seasons went on, it kinda wore on me. I can't tell if it takes itself too seriously or its too self referential. Again, I don't think this makes it a bad show, I just personally have a hard time getting through it for some reason.
That being said the first season had me on the edge of my seat and I think if anyone's vaguely interested in the show, at least watch the first season.
I totally agree. Sometimes I can't decide whether to go along for the edgy ride or roll my eyes. Some scenes feel overacted (not that I'm an expert on this..). I definitely enjoyed the first two seasons, but I haven't been able to make it through the third season.
The last season has a few episodes that were truly remarkable. Even if you're not totally into every aspect of the season, the one episode will more than compensate for it.
For me, what I love most about Mr Robot is the conversation and theorizing afterwards. To me, the show is just a vehicle and framework for fun brainstorming.
I liked it a lot, but I was a bit disappointed by the finale. It felt like there was a lot of build-up and not enough pay-off. Maybe that was intentional, but it felt sort of like they had to squeeze the ending in in terms of pacing. It felt like there was hints at story arc for White Rose that we never saw. I still enjoyed the show, but I still feel like the last season didn’t provide closure.
I'm a big fan of the show.
I really like that they have security consultants working for them to build relatively realistic hacks: https://youtu.be/_bBrj6QBPW0
It's the first show/movie I've seen in terms of security, that's technically accurate, but also has great writers and actors that have been able to capture the attention of the more general population.
The show has some fantastic visual style and I really enjoy the work and authenticity they put into the hacks performed in the show. However, I ultimately decided to drop the show because of how much I disliked the plot. Elliot's tenuous grasp on reality started to grate on me and the final straw was the prison plot twist reveal in season 2.
I only watched season 1. And while I liked it in general, I didn't like the main character enough and when I watched the first episode of season 2 I had forgotten so much and I didn't want to make the effort to remember it, so I guess that's telling.
I haven't seen it yet, but am really excited to and will be watching it soon! Glad to hear you liked it!
I'm really liking where the show is going. I lost a bit of interest early in season 2, but I think the payoff more than made up for it. And season 3 was far better than season 1 for me. Can't wait for season 4.
