I expect the broad strokes will be more or less true to his vision (who's alive, who's dead, etc). But I suspect that thematically it'll be quite the different animal to whatever George's ending...

Only place on the internet I trust to advise me whether I should watch this trailer or not. What do you think? Does it balance hype and revelations well?

The only spoilers in it are very minor, which characters appear together in which places, so you can deduce how some of the plot is going to play out (such as who's in winterfell). Worth it for...

Worth it for some of the teasers. I have a feeling I'm going to love Jamie this season, his arc's been one of my favorites.
Goosebumps throughout all this. I hope this is what g.r.r martin wanted
Let's be realistic. G.R.R Martin doesn't know what he wants.
We know he draws sustenance from the tears of his readers, so as long as 2/3 of the cast dies this season he'll be pleased.

Isn't he one of the producers?
He's an executive producer (and credited as a writer for every episode) but I believe he's not very involved in the show these days.
I didn't realize GoT has gotten the Minecraft/Fortnite treatment.
Oh, I see what you mean. Less focus on kids, more focus on "cool".

yeah, it's okay. It doesn't show much but does build some tension. If you want to watch it, go for it. If you don't, you won't lose out on anything.

I think the trailer only reveals scenes from the first 3 episodes so no major spoilers
