I've been itching to watch a show like Lost again. The sci-fi, mystery, and adventure in that show is something that I've been unable to match with anything I've watched since. Recently I've seen Russian Doll and loved it. Anyone else like this genre of television? What have you watched and enjoyed?

Man, everyone keeps telling me to watch it. But, like I said below, I've watched the first episode around six times over the last couple of years and just cannot make myself watch the second episode. I didn't care for any of the characters enough to continue.

Yeah, I really didn't think much of Season 2. At all. Such a let down.

Not sure if it's cancelled or renewed but NBC's Manifest reminded me of Lost a lot.

Last week I finished binge watching The Tick, this week they have cancelled it. I did notice season 2 of White Gold just got released so I'll dive into that this week.

The Americans was just phenomenal - the first few seasons are a little too actiony for my liking, but it matures to be a psychological thriller/drama in equal measures. The characters are so carefully written and human and the finale is really one of the best I've seen on TV. Ever.

I've also liked Halt and Catch Fire, primarily because I've lived through those days of 8086s, DOS and IBM-compatibles so it's really nostalgic for me.

I don't often watch comedies, I find most pretty drab, but The Amazing Mrs. Maisel is really hilariously/neurotically done. Perhaps because it's a little close to home.

My dad loves U2 so I grew up listening to With or Without You. There are so many memories I have with that song in the background, but now I think of The Americans whenever I hear it.

I've been watching Chernobyl. It's riveting. The end of episode two was terrifying, as was seeing the effects of ionizing radiation in episode three. Other than that I don't have much TV on my plate. I'm hoping that Watchmen is good. I guess Westworld is coming back on, but I can't get into it. I've watched the first episode around six times now and I just can't get pulled into it. Oh, I did recently watch I Think You Should Leave on Netflix. Wow, what a weird sketch comedy show. I wouldn't call it hilarious, but there were some really funny moments.

This week I've been watching Taskmaster which is just about my favourite thing ever.

I'm continuing to watch Ghost on BBC which is good but the small budget shows a bit.

The Good Fight does a good job of making people think about how far is too far, from the punching a nazi scene to discussions of rigging elections.

I enjoy For the People, and I'm trying to find something to fill that gap.

I've just started Chicgo Justice, and I'm not sure I enjoy it.

I just finished watching Battlestar Galactica (the reboot) for the first time and it was amazing. Seriously one of the best TV series I've ever seen. It kinda went off the rails a little bit at the end there, and the first two seasons are definitely the best, but even at its weakest points, it's still pretty solid. And the CGI holds up very well, especially in the space scenes.

BSG really is a treasure. The early episodes are so insanely stressful and thrilling. Then it turns a bit into Battlestar Politica but I quite enjoyed that as well. Agreed that after the episode "Earth", it gets .. weird. I initially stopped watching there and then, but I eventually picked it back up and finished it and I'm glad I did.

I stopped watching for a week during the Cain arc in season 2 because I needed a break from how stressful the show was at that point! That was a fantastic little story, though. I don't mind the weird stuff, as I'm a sucker for sci-fi spirituality (I love the Bajoran religious episodes of DS9, for instance), but I know some folks are put off by it. The last moments of the finale were pretty strange, though.

Oh man are you in for a ride. Season 2 gets dark af, but still somehow really, really funny. That show has put a lot of previously-unknown faces on my radar like Sarah Goldberg and Anthony Carrigan.
