If memory serves this is basically what the City of London does. "Guilds" get to vote on things and count for a large amount of the vote.

Smallish software dev company (35ish employees). We went remote in 2020 and have had some of the most productive years ever since then. We do hardware as well for some of our customers, so there will always be a need for some of our people to be in office to lay hands on equipment/ship/setup/ect.

However our dev team has been fully remote for the whole time now and it has let us increase the quality of our team by quite a bit. I feel like its for three reasons.

    1. The pool of candidates is just larger. We don't care where they are in the country. A wider pool will naturally have a better available quality.

    2. People want to be fully remote, so that lets us attract better employees, even as a small company who may not be able to match the pay of larger corporations.

    3. Work from home is just more productive in general. Yeah I'm typing this up during my work day. Yeah I am not productive for a full 8 hours. But I wasn't when I was in house either. This lets me work in spurts that are good for me, my productivity is higher than it would be if I were in office, and my happiness is way higher than if I had to go into the office every day.

I'm not a software dev, and there are some things I have to do hands on. Because of that I work 4 days remote per week, and I could never go back to a 5 day in office job.

I love that Tantrum (the barbarian) is actually a pretty complex character to play rather than 'me big dum hit thing'.

As someone who loves bard type characters, I had high hopes for Stanza, but I never really clicked with them unfortunately.

After much fighting with my Ender 3 Pro over the years I fell out of 3d printing. However a friend of mine ended up getting a Bambu X1 Carbon with AMS and after they talked it up a lot I ended up getting one myself.

Its night and day as far as experiences go, and I'm once again in love with 3d printing.

I've been printing things for organization for my board games, some things for my D&D game, some costume pieces for my wife and I, and a gift for my nephew's birthday.

I've never been able to get my mind to adapt to a healthier way of eating. My brain is very good at making excuses on why its not a big deal to do any particular action that in moderation would indeed not be a big deal. However done often enough it creates a problem. At my worst I have been 220 pounds (99kg), at 5'10" thats not the worst, but its for sure well beyond what I should be.

So I only really have success with a rigid guidelines for what I should and shouldn't do. I decided to be healthier a few months back and since then I've lost about 20 pounds (9kg). Two weeks ago I started working out in the mornings with some light workouts as well, to try to improve overall health. That change I think is where your experiences and mine match up. For daily exercise I have to change my mindset or I'll not be able to keep to the routine.

Yeah, I've gone every year they hosted it, starting two years ago.

Two years ago it was mask mandated and actually went over pretty well. Lots of vendors weren't there and it felt very different from a 'normal' gencon, but more chill and low key. I really enjoyed it, with the bigger vendors gone it let me really spend time at a bunch of smaller booths and jump more into the indie sceen.

Last year it was mask optional and lots of people didn't wear them. I avoided events where it would be lots of people in close contact with one another that I might have otherwise done, but overall felt more normal. Not all the vendors were there still though, but a lot of the big ones were.

This year I'm hoping its back to the pre-covid Gencon that I've loved for so long.

We do a Wednesday to Sunday as well. Wednesday is normally a get in, play some games in a lobby and get dinner. Nothing too involved so we can crash out early for the running of the nerds.

I hadn't heard of Super Robo Rally before (just robo rally) and that looks really neat, I may have to look into an event. The events went FAST this year in general though.

It seems like Lorcana is set to the be the buzz of the con this year around. While I'm interested in getting my hands on a deck or two to give it a go, I'm more looking forward to when BGG posts their games that will be releasing to sift through and try to find a hidden gem or two.

That all being said I agree with the OP. I see this as putting a better middle ground between the simplicity of Jaws and the complexity of some of the Frosthaven starters. So I'm happy its getting made. I'll also be following along with all the info just for love of the system.

It presumably also makes the GH characters easier to port into FH, something that is technically possible, but I decided not to do as there is pretty big differences in their design philosophy.
