Maybe there's a correlation between the declining birth rates and the loneliness epidemic.

This is a part of continued ongoing research. Additonally, UC Davis usually offer classes every few years on pistachio tree farming fyi.
This research will help to develop more robust plant varieties by identifying specific genes for certain favorable charactetistics or to grow at certain climate. More varieties will help growers to choose trees more favorable to both their environment and financial means. (Paper on pistachio varieties: https://ucanr.edu/sites/default/files/2011-02/73687.pdf)
I'm not an agronomist or plant biologist. My background is more on broader environmental land management. I have delve into this topic since my FIL is starting his own pistachio farm and worked on USDA grants (until DOGE took away funding). Establishing pistachio trees for cultivation is a long process, and it is fairly expensive. More information like this helps growers to protect their investments. The pros to pistachio is that it requires less water than other nut trees like almond, and it is already hardy against drought. Which is why my FIL is investing in them over olives or grapes.
Right now in his particular region (not the US), they spliced two varieties from UC Berkeley together. One for robust root system and other for larger nut production. When I toured the pistachio farm down in south america, the growers have about 20 years of experience to figure to see what varieties and methodology worked so far. It would be good to have more varieties available to have more resilent crop for any future production. In general, you don't want to invest on one specific varieties just in case something happens (like a specific disease). So understanding their genome will help to create new varieties that can grow in wider condition. The region my FIL is in only recently started pistachio production and so more experimentation is needed to establish better management practices and more robust production for both climate change and regional knowledge.
Also with silvopasture (I know this from working with apple orchards). You want to offset the ages of your trees. So you have fields of different ages. One field at a certain age, and another different few years apart. You don't want trees of same age all at once.
This way you can properly prepare to retire mature unproductive trees and plant new ones or different crops. So current growers may want different varieties since they might have mature trees they want to retire. -

I miss my body and I'm so done with dealing with the aches, swelling, rhinitis, acid reflux, and the lack of sleep.
And I'm still working at 38 weeks on top of this since I am trying maximize my maternity leave. Childbirth doesn't sound so bad when I feel raggedy. I know I'm almost at the finish line, but I have no idea how much further I have to go.

As I understand it, if you were born before 1989, or you are going to be around immunocompromised or babies, you might want to check. Which is why I got my husband get his MMR shot.

I might not want to do whatever task, because I'm either too tired or mentally hung up on something. That rest period allow me to mentally and physically check out, but do this in a healthy way like watching some TV or take a nice bath. Something that recharges you. Then, I use those rest period as a motivator to get shit done. Like if I do xyz, then I can rest afterwards.
Second, try to do the smallest task first or whatever is easiest to do. Mentally, I'm trying to figure what's the easiest way to get back on the horse so to speak, so whatever I have to do doesnt seem so daunting. Personally, I prefer to do easiest task first then the hardest, and then go from there.

I'm deciding between Healthy Paws again or Embrace right now. I have a few months before I should decide. Since the rates are gonna be the same now at 7 month old vs 12 month old cat. I don't see the need to enroll her right now as a kitten.

We had pet insurance through healthy paws with my last cat Batman and the insurance ended up paying like 80% of end of life care and euthanasia. Which was great, but at the end of the day emergency pet bills are expensive. I'm not going into details how much we paid, but Healthy paws paid more than we paid into the insurance since she ended up dying fairly young. Pet insurance allowed us to make decision on her care without too much financial constraint.
However Batman and my current dog is under the old plan and policy. In order to register my newest member, I would have to open another account because she would have to be enrolled in a new pet policy, which is not as comprehensive as the old plan/policy. I'm shopping around for now since end of life pet care is expensive.

Also I like Joju which is a banh mi vietnamese sandwich place. It might be a little over your daughter comfort zone, but unique enough to try.
Also, there should be some good bagel places near you that you can grab some bagel sandwiches. I'm on the boat that you don't toast a good bagel, only bad ones.
Oh you should take your daughters to kinokuniya nyc, which is a large japanese store by bryant park (2 to 3 avenues away from times square).
Stay away from Eli's and some of the local chains by The Metropolitan Museum. Their food is disgusting and and a waste of money.
There's the staten island ferry, but also the nyc ferry. I would actually take the East River ferry and head either down to dumbo or williamsburg for a nice trip. My favorite falafel place is in williamsburg called oasis, which is super affordable and vegan friendly.

https://www.hario-usa.com/products/maru-chacha-kyusu-tea-potThey have a wide stainless steel stainer that allows the tea move more freely in the pot for a more even brew.
Also see if you can find loose teas, which you can adjust how much according to your taste. I find them much better quality than bagged. I'm not a huge fan of blended teas unless it some sort of lavender chamomile blend or some sort of sick relief blend. A good company will have very simple ingredients and no sugar.

Kendrick Lamar gave a good performance, but audio mixing was a little off. So far, Samuel L Jackson as Uncle Sam Heckler was honestly great and memorable bits of the show. SZA was pretty good, I wished it was a little bit more dramatic. Kendrick Lamar rapping his verse with the backup dancers as a conversation were fun little touches. Also, my favorite highlight is that the whole stadium singing "A Minor" at the end of Not like us. Drake was already decimated over the summer, and this is akin to pissing someone grave.
Some food for thought, he started the Halftime with this, "The revolution ‘bout to be televised, you picked the right time but the wrong guy.’"
The lines is pretty obvious of its political message, but I wonder how people will pick this up tomorrow. -

As someone who is currently pregnant and in those online pregnancy groups. The level of care I receieve in a blue state is much higher than those who lives in a red state. I have more check in, and I was able to get both NT ultrasound and NIPT genetic testing done in a timely manner. Some places only offer it one or the other. I have another appointment inbetween 12 and 20 weeks scan to see how I am progressing. I'm considered a low risk pregnancy.
I met a lot of former texans in NY area and this one of the cited reason. Because OBGYNs and medical professionals are leaving, people have less access to quality care. People can pick up that up by how hard it is to make an dr appointment. (Edit: I mean people can see worsening medical care by trying to make a dr appt, wrote this at the dr office lol.)

Milk makes it worse for me, but I'm slowly becoming lactose intolerant. Noodles makes me a little bloated, but most carbs do.

But based on your post and your comment, I honestly believe that you are looking any excuses to not to go. I can't say you should go or not, but I think you trying to convince yourself not to.
That said, you can make friends in grad school and other transplants. I would prioritize building both support and professional network in grad school more so than the city to start. Or see if you can delay your admission for a semester or year, and apply to other schools in the meantime. That way you at least have a backup.

Luckily, my dog grew up with my old cat, so he was socialized with a cat. Even though he liked to chase her around and old cat did not like my dog. But they get along well enough to not worry about leaving them alone in the house. So far, I Juniper is getting along well and would sniff my dog, Monty from time to time. I'm hoping they develop a play language soon.
Depending on the pattern, wallpapers reflect whatever current trend and owners taste of that year. Because of that, they are subjected to age. I'm a firm believer that there's no such things as 'timeless design' and that all design and art age and change over time.
If you're planning to live in your space long term, then do what speaks to you and your wife. My only suggestion is not to put wallpaper where there is a lot of humidity like a full bathroom (half bathroom is probably ok). And if you are hestitant, closets are a great space to practice home DIY skills.
