    We aren't really a majorly social server (meaning we use chat, but don't do a huge ton of interacting). In my experience, I probably wouldn't use the locator bar all that often since I am not...

    We aren't really a majorly social server (meaning we use chat, but don't do a huge ton of interacting). In my experience, I probably wouldn't use the locator bar all that often since I am not really invested on where other players are at any given time.

    That said, I know some people play with their friends/kids so I can see them using the bar a bit more. Also, those rare times people do want to meet up to do things together or exchange items, the bar would be helpful (with a mod to identify players instead of generic dots).

    So I can do with either turning it off or leaving it on. It doesn't seem to take up enough screen space where it would bother me. I rarely even pay attention to it watching Hermitcraft videos unless the CC brings it up.

    For reals, why have to juggle 2 worlds? Just invite your friend and set up your own joint area somewhere. That way you can do your thing but just up with others whenever you want.

    I typically don't spend much time or build anything around town. But I participate in chat and/or help folk out if they need it. Luckily, there's no one way to play

    My build is going to be the nether hub. So spawn can still be there if that's what people want. And I can build it around having the overworld portal at the spawn point, so getting into town would...

    The two main factors for lag in town that I can think of are: 1 - Farms with redstone and moving entities 2 - armor stands Personally, I think the armor stands and what can be created with them...

    The two main factors for lag in town that I can think of are:

    Personally, I think the armor stands and what can be created with them add a lot of activity and character. So I wouldn't want to see that curtailed in town. So that leaves moving the farms outside of town. That wouldn't be too difficult or even cause much inconvenience. We can just set up an industrial district outside of render distance from town. That would also keep many of the farms in the same location so they are easier to find.

    S2 we didn't protect around spawn. So it was available for anybody to build there

    I'm just planning to build around the town's portal. I plan to enclose the area and build... something or another... and have some cardinal direction exits. The actual tunnels will need to be done...

    I'm working on a plan to build in the nether. My base will just function as the nether hub. Folk can branch off from there as they desire

    It was me... I reached out. But it was more to get a timeline so I can start thinking. I'm alright with waiting a bit. Starting mid november would just see lots of slowdown off the bat with...
