Some of my favourites are: John/Tom Collins, Gin Fizz, Americano, Long Island iced tea even if finding a place that makes it right it's hard and Moscow Mule.

Then there are the "party cocktails" so badly and cheaply made like Mojito and Gin Tonic, had way too many of those that I can't even see them anymore.

I used to enjoy Pisco Sour as well but I no longer drink that because of the egg white.

This is probably my favourite quote from this piece. Excellent read, thank you for sharing.

To lay out a reliable pathway to commit harm and lie about it for so long and in so many ways that by the time the truth is available, it doesn’t matter, because the harm is a foundational part of the system we’re living in.

This is probably my favourite quote from this piece.

It seems like big tech is more and more going towards being money making machines at the expense of the actual use experience.

I mean they already are. Just look back and see how the experience changed with platforms like YouTube, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), Reddit when the goal shifted from "don't be evil" to "money printer goes brrrr".

I, unfortunately, use Instagram for work and the experience is abysmal, how people still use this horrendous app is beyond me. It's basically a TikTok repost machine.

I used to listen to the whole Geeving album on repeat.

  6. Comment on Silvio Berlusconi, former Italian PM, dies at 86 in ~news

Hard to say, but I will never understand how he always managed to distort the way people perceived him... maybe owning 3 of the country most watched TV channels + Newscast + being PM for so long...

But I think its up to debate whether he actually changed Italian politics or whether he just thrived in an already shaky Italian political system. Any thoughts from Italians?

Hard to say, but I will never understand how he always managed to distort the way people perceived him... maybe owning 3 of the country most watched TV channels + Newscast + being PM for so long warped people idea of who Berlusconi truly was.

We should celebrate yet people are mourning his loss like he was some sort of saint.

    Good riddance.

Fair enough, but still some are better than others (at least on paper) and if I have to choose I'll choose to stay here.

Apart from the "spooky" moments (which are engraved in my memories forever... damn ladders!) the AI is really fun to play against (except the robots), after reading the article I played some more and paid attention to the enemies behaviour.

Seeing them really react to my playstyle was fun, trying to spot me or to push me when stationary behind cover or them retreating when I was playing nade-shotgun-aggressive. It's not something that you notice when playing as kid, that's for sure, all I cared back then was shooting my weapons and kill them all.

Speaking of gunplay the weapons are very satisfying for me, rifles recoil hits hard and you have to control it or time your sprays in order to secure kills for targets further away.

Won't lie, some aspects of the game didn't age that well for example: models and textures are very simple and repetitive, weapons animations (like some rifles just "disappear" when you reload) or some levels' design but overall I still really enjoy the game.

I'm currently re-playing the game again and the AI is something else. To think it's a 18 years old game blows my mind. I'd love a remaster/remake with today's tools and tech!

People want fancy stuff, they want to look cool, people are buying older accounts in order to get the username they want... I'm probably going back to TeamSpeak and buy my own server.

Now imagine milions of small content creators trying to build an audience.. they are not eligible for the youtube monetization program yet google will show ads on their content anyway. I'm sure this will drive a lot of people away from those channels without them earning a single penny.

Destiny 2 - I've been playing the game since 2017 when it came out on PC and I enjoyed myself a lot but the changes they made, the steam migration, the F2P, the high amount of cheaters, the fact they say play the way you want but in the end you're forced to use specific loadouts to complete specific activities and specific bounties to gain exp and increase your season pass level is annoying, so annoying to the point I load in, look at the screen and log off. This whole endless light level increase is not the game I want to play, I won't probably get the next DLC.
