    I read The Goldfinch several years ago and really enjoyed it. It's one of those books that's really stuck with me and I'll find myself thinking about it at random times when something reminds of it. I wasn't aware that there was a movie being made of it so thank you for bringing that to my attention. I hope you enjoy reading it as well!

    I live in Washington state and things were similar there last summer. I didn't have a car or bike at the time so I was walking everywhere, it was rough with all the fires. There was one time where after a fairly short walk I was having having trouble breathing. I feel like this is a big issue on the West coast and hasn't been taken seriously enough yet.

    Sure, but there's a pretty big difference between gathering user data and requiring personal information to sign up for a service. I don't think Discord is entirely anonymous but I do think part of its appeal is how easy it is to sign up.

    While I agree that's probably one of the only ways to combat this I also feel like a big part of the appeal of discord is its anonymity. I'm curious how they'll go about trying to solve this...

    While I agree that's probably one of the only ways to combat this I also feel like a big part of the appeal of discord is its anonymity. I'm curious how they'll go about trying to solve this problem because I suspect they'd lose a lot of their user base if they tried to implement a system that required identifiable information.
