Obviously not the full picture, as they wouldn't spend money on an entire movie only to create ragebait. But maybe they lean into it a bit in marketing (by showing some of the more iconic shots redone) to get people talking?

For those who have a Quest 2 or 3, how is the experience with Steam Link? I'm considering gifting a Quest 3s to my kids as a sort of wireless upgrade to our Index, but I would want to make sure that their Steam VR games are all still playable.

Somewhere around placing my ~96th fuel generator, It just sort of stopped being fun and started to look like work.
In my case , I came to the conclusion it was also a "me" thing. But I came to the realization that I'm just not a hardcore factory game fan, and that's totally fine. I like building logistics and factories in modded (and vanilla) Minecraft, and I enjoyed other games that have some automation and logistics. The Planet Crafter fits this description, and I enjoyed that one all the way through. At this point I'm comfortable putting Satisfactory aside as "complete". :)

I agree that it's always good to be looking for situations where code can be consolidated, but there are cases where code is diverging and some copy/paste is required. I can think of lots of exceptions to this rule just in the projects I've worked on.

It's possible to use a lot of different strategies if you have some well documented procedures and team buy-in on the use of those procedures. You could have agreement on the structure and content of commits to main, for example.
The original article is written from the perspective of bettering oneself as an individual developer, so a lot of this is out of scope. But working with a team and having some agreement on how that work proceeds is a big part of being a developer IMO.

But the reality is that jobs are transient, and code bases can be large and long lived. I've found that using 1:1:1 issue/branch/commit with squashing enforced (or just encouraged as the default) keeps the history much more manageable long term while encouraging devs to manage their own branches however they see fit. It also (mostly) solves the "do I rebase" debate, because I could care less about how you keep your issue branch up to date with main as it all gets squashed to one neat commit in the end.

Featuring over 30 unique death messages, it is sure to be the experience of a lifetime. :)
I'm also taking death message donations. Instructions are on a lectern at the machine.

I forgot to mention that the Cajun place I used to frequent also had blackened catfish. I'm normally not a huge fan of the flavor of catfish, but this stuff was soooo delicious. I'd get it on top of their Jambalaya and gobble the whole thing up. :D

Thanks for the info. I dove down a rabbit hole last night, and in the end discovered there are a few viable options for "streaming" SteamVR to the Quest 2/3:
For a detailed (and possibly now slightly out of date) breakdown, I found this reddit post handy. I say "slightly out of date", because both VD and Steam Link seem to be actively improving over time, and I found at least one other report that Steam Link now supports some level of hand tracking. I also found a lot of people echoing the sentiment that VD "just works" and is well worth the $20 pricetag. It was enough to convince me that I'll be just fine switching to the Quest ecosystem with my Steam games intact, so I ordered a Quest 3s this morning. :)
