    Lessee...
    Watching:

    • Eminence in Shadow season 2 is solid so far
    • Reign of the Seven Spellblades has been a great first season, with enjoyably fast pacing
    • Finished up Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2, kinda slow season, but hit the feels in the end
    • Jujitsu Kaisen continues to rock

    Reading:

    • Lord of Mysteries 2
    • Reincarnation of the Strongest Sword God
    • Beyond the Timescape (Er Gen's newest and so far best IMHO)
    • Overgeared
    • To Hell with Being a Hero
    • Just starting The Unrivaled Tang Sect, and hoping it will be as good as the first novel.

That's about it for this week. I'd recommend any of the above btw!

If the seabound route doesn't end up working out for you either due to logistical and/or financial considerations, and you've never tried the flight in business class, it's something I'd definitely recommend. It's almost an entirely different experience in the air, and access to the lounges in each airport really go a long way as well.
I can only speak to Lufthansa and Air France, but both really open up your eyes to what flying could and should be like. And if you have time and flexibility in your schedule to plan it out ahead of time, you can get the prices down to something somewhat manageable.

Oh, I hear you. Honestly, as terrible as this whole situation is, as well as all of the terrible things done to children by the church over the years, it's only a drop in the ocean compared to the unimaginably brutal history of murders, genocide, torture, etc., that this and practically ever other major religion has committed over their lifetimes.
It just boggles my mind that in this day and age, where information is everywhere, it can be done so openly and hypocritically. Granted, misinformation is also everywhere, and diehards are going to be diehards, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing or hard to wrap your head around.

"Catholic bishops are employing the same deception from coast to coast," he said. "Cover up child sex offenses while maintaining the ministry of the abusers. Next, oppose any modifications to the statute of limitations that might make those offenses more visible. Finally, go to federal bankruptcy courts and act as though you have run out of money when secular laws offer a window to justice. When will church officials make true amends?"

Man, best of luck to them, trying to get your personal records changed even when you're in the military is a brutal process, let alone many years after you've gotten out (especially if you get the VA involved). If the records for the court martial just say "misconduct", then I'm assuming they would have to track down and interview people that had taken part in it originally? Good Lord, I don't know what the Vegas odds on that would be, but probably not awesome...

Ah, that's awesome, thank you very much for sharing! I certainly look forward to trying it out in the next couple of months 😁

The best recipes are definitely the ones that you tweak and refine over the years, and it really makes cooking more fun as well. The hardier stew versions of Hungarian goulash are absolutely the ones that I think of first and enjoy the most, so this should be perfect!

Probably the main reason I'm such a fan of it is that my mother had a fantastic recipe that she would cook for my brother and I when we were kids. She originally got the recipe out of a old Betty Crocker cookbook from the '70s, and of course added many tweeks to it over the years too. Sadly, that recipe is lost in time, but my brother has managed to put work in and come up with his own twist to it. If I can get him to send it to me, I'll try to post it in a reply here so you can see if there's anything you might be able to take away from it.

In that case, I look forward to reading the article.

I will say it's gotten a bit better in my lifetime in at least one aspect. When I was growing up in the '90s, it was fairly dodgy to admit to anyone that you were atheist/agnostic. I feel like it's far more commonplace now, and people would probably not even blink at that confession. So there's that.

Of course what we have now, as with any of the big issues that split society, are plenty of echo chambers on either side, but with very little positive real life tangible effects. From the atheist/agnostic pov that is (and, only speaking from my personal opinion, in the US, from what I personally see and foresee... naturally, YMMV)

If it makes you feel any better, I can speak anecdotally at least and let you know then they're aware that SEO is always an ongoing fight. Very recently I was part of a project where we had to go through hundreds of Google search results, consider 2 instances side-by-side, and select which one would better and which specific parts of each result were positive and negative.
With AIs becoming more robust, and who knows how many studies like the one above being run, I have no doubt that we'll see improvements in search results across all platforms sooner rather than later.

Right?! I use those all the time, it sure would be handy to know which one is a verified bad actor.

Some common sense does come into play here; have you ever come across a legitimate tab in Chrome when viewing a site that tells you you need to update it by clicking the provided link? That's red flags all day, although I can definitely see how many people will fall for it (I'm also possibly misunderstanding the sequence of events, but that's what I took from the article at least).

I'm also a bit confused by how they intended to get the downloaded package running. The article states that the file was found in the download folder, but none of them had been run (with the implication that it needed to happen manually). Do they (the authors of the code) just expect people to be cruising through their download folders, see a file they were unfamiliar with, and double-click on it for s's and g's? I guess it could happen, and with something like this you do need to cast a very wide net after all...
