Because if someone doesn't win in 2020, they're clearly not worth their salt. That was the tautological bit.

Polling at this point is basically meaningless. A bit tautological. I'll say the reverse. Nominate Biden or one of the moderates, and the dems win easily. Nomate Warren or Sanders and Trump kills it.

i accordingly come down on the line of thinking that anyone worth their salt will win in 2020.

Terrorist attacks against the state are worse than such against communities. There should be focus on both.

Things like health plans and such probably play well there.

All of this outrage olympics and identity griefing doesn't as much. I mean, let's just remember that despite all of this rehashing of racial grievances and such, Biden is still killing it with black people.

I dunno. Gavin Long shot 6 police officers. Micah Johnson shot, I forget, 14? Racially motivated mass violence against civic institutions in both cases.

I'm not saying it should be the main priority, but let's not pretend it's not worrisome.

I agree with you and the report that QAnon and conspiracy theories should be an emphasis target.

Spot on that this is the biggest problem. For the "two wheeled revolution" to go anywhere, this has to change.

The biggest transportation problem L.A. has is its stroad problem. The city's many long boulevards are mostly designed in a way that's dangerous and deeply unpleasant if you're on foot or bicycle: wide, multiple lanes in each direction, high traffic speeds, and narrow sidewalks with no real buffer from traffic.

Remember, what playing well in the general means is that it has to play well in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and the upper midwest. Based on that logic there are a lot of Democratic proposals that probably aren't gonna play too well. Everyone is going to have to shift toward the center as the general nears or else the Dems are going to go down hard.

That is a completely valid take, and I'm surprised alayza (not sure how to tag on Tildes) didn't advance that as xer main point.

Consider the flip side, though. When the party puts its fingers on the scales as it did in 2016, you end up with other problems with electability.

You've just told me again that you are angry and care a lot about this. The question was, why do you care? Why does it matter to you that Delaney spent a lot of effort and isn't succeeding?

john delaney, please shut up and go do something else since you've spent millions and 2 years to get 1% in the polls

Why does it anger you that someone wants to take a chance to see if they can make a run of it? Would you feel the same way if it was someone whose politics you agreed with that was at 1%? I don't remember many super progressives getting angry at Nader back in '00. They were all for his candidacy even if he was going to be a "spoiler".
