Yep! I've been doing is since 2012 I think (?) Though my group scattered after covid so no real practice. I've been working through some books with a reading group though.

A bit late- Space Funk and Cosmic Jazz Beats with Micaela Grei. One of the more ambient mixes on the channel- or at least instrumental. I'd recommend that channel for interesting, hard to find jazz.

I found this to be a fairly interesting breakdown on why so much music starts to sounds same-y from a musician. He goes into how 'views' and 'listens' are counted among other topics. Interestingly, he also point out the effects of algorithms of streaming services tend to lead to more and more homogenous suggestions and playlists.

It's weird it feels less like a passing of a torch than the Digg migration or when Fark was winding down. It's like Reddit has sucked up so much of the small special interest groups on the open channels that there's a void looking beyond that. And yes, I know I'm on Tildes, but this is new yet, and missing many of the smaller, specialized communities that Reddit has.

Don't all platforms do that to a certain extent? Personally I'm fond of Audible's radio drama style podcasts, but they're only on Audible.
