Yeah I guess thats the right way to say that, I suppose its just the way that folders in windows work if I really think about it.

I really like the nested system, though havent dug into it, I'm brand new. I think it would be really good if the system used the sidebar to split out the separate niches. For an example I was very into HFY on reddit a pretty niche subreddit and would love to continue something similar here my idea for this is is something like literature~writing~fiction~hfy

i.e there is a top level literature group, on its sidebar it shows the sub groups one of which is writing, on its sidebar more sub groups, and so on.

This would let you cut up the overall subject as niche as you could like but still retain an easy way to find each group. I would also nest the 'all' pages so that say the top three current posts in each subgroup are shown in the next layer up and the top three from there in the next and so on and so on. This would ensure that more niche subgroups still get a chance to appear in the next layer up bigger group. The reddit way of doing it based solely on upvotes means the same crap gets recycled again and again but having a forced contribution gives new stuff a chance to be seen.

I also like opt out rather than opt in since it gives you a chance to see something is available that you might not think to search for. HFY needed to be deliberately sought out and I think it suffered from that a little.

I would actually be in that group about the chemex, though I would say it tastes dramatically worse than my V60 daily driver. Years ago I had this argument with a friend and told her I could make a 'chemex' brew for her with my V60, when presented with it she agreed it tasted more like a chemex than usual I told her i had put a piece of kitchen roll in the cup and then squeezed the coffee out of it, its paper, the taste difference is the chemex uses a shit ton of crap paper.

I bought the 24 pack? years ago but found I only really use the dark colours since i feel like they give the biggest impact and provide something thats more difficult to achieve with paint. So I just buy the single pencils that I need now, if I was starting now I would get black, deep indigo, chinese black, madder brown, and maybe throw in a bright yellow or red if I fancied trying it, I never found the antique white worthwhile and as above prefer to use pens for highlighting but you might find some value in it.

If nothing else the black is super valuable for the depth of colour, indigo the same.

Individually theyre not that expensive though I often search ebay and frequently have luck.

Im a big fan of Inktense, for a little more controllable direct colour and Gelly Roll white for post paint highlights.

I've dipped in and out of watercolours and acrylics for years but always found watercolours to be the more difficult of the two until I found out about Ox Gall, an additive you put in your water. It makes the paint flow better and gives you that ''watercoloury'' look you might be missing. Hope that helps.
